Happy New Year and welcome to my blog, Atlanta & Beyond. My name is Kelly and I am the mother of two big kids. My husband and I are raising our family in Atlanta. I work full time as an architect.
Atlanta
Traveling and exploring new places is my personal passion. Atlanta and the Southeast United States have so much to offer. Over the years my family has enjoyed exploring the Atlanta area and taking trips throughout the southeast and beyond.
Through this blog, I want to provide you with inspiration and ideas to enjoy adventures with your loved ones. My main focus will be local adventures in the Atlanta vicinity; however, you are likely to find information about trips throughout the southeast.
And Beyond
I am a lover of history, old houses, small towns, big cities, kitsch roadside attractions, and the outdoors. In addition, I love visiting National Park Service Sites and am hooked on adding new stamps to my National Parks Passport Book (I have the collector’s edition). My family has taken a couple of trips to exciting National Parks out west, so you may see some information from those trips on the blog.
In college, I had the incredible opportunity to spend a school year studying architecture in Italy. During this period, I traveled through Europe and developed a lifelong case of wanderlust. Getting back to those roots, my husband and I took an incredible trip to Sicily and Rome, Italy with our parents and children last summer. So don’t be surprised to find a few blog posts on Sicily or Rome, my adopted city!

I understand that everyone has different budgets as they relate to finances and vacation time. One of the goals of this blog it to provide ideas for adventures on every budget.
